A squish is an aromantic crush (although not exclusive to aromantics), a desire for a strong platonic relationship, a querplatonic relationship or a non-romantic emotional relationship with a person. Squishes are the platonic or emotional, basically non-romantic equivalent to the romantic crushes. A squish is a platonic attraction or an emotional attraction. You can have a squish and a romantic crush/partner, as (mentioned before) the terms squish is not only for those who are aromantic. Some people may also experience multiple squishes at a time. Also, those on the aromantic spectrum that experience some (but little) romantic attraction may have a squish/squishes.
